Back in the garden (briefly)
Photo taken on the right day, but I'm still in catch-up mode, back-blipping 2 days later.
This is Rosa 'Old Blush', which has apparently been cultivated in China for over a thousand years. It arrived in the UK in the mid-eighteenth century. On our steep, stony and arid bank at the back of the garden, this rose keeps flowering in all but the coldest parts of the winter. With current temperatures hovering around zero, I think it's due for a bit of nap time just now.
