Leaves @ the Waterfall
A cold crisp and sunny day. Himself went off for the weekly hunter gathering and I went for a walk up onto the hill past the stone circle. It was absolutely perishing up there with a south easterly stinging my face but it looked wonderful everywhere. The waterfall was fairly modest today but making big splashes on the rocks.
It's going to be a cold night and we have friends coming round for supper so the fire is already lit. Nut roast on the menu (Himself) followed by fig and orange trifle (me).
Happy St Andrew's Day to Scottish blippers. I always remember the date as I taught at St Andrew's Primary school in Shottery for many years and we always trooped down to church on the day where the vicar would hold forth on the fishers of men.
And sad news to hear of the death of Shane MacGowan poet, bard, musician, man of few teeth, frontsman of the Pogues: Let him go boys Needs to be listened to very loud!
