Beecraigs Loch

A great way to spend St Andrew’s Day with a Glasgow Ramblers loop around Linlithgow taking in Beecraigs Country Park. The loch was constructed as a reservoir for Edinburgh during the First World War using Prisoners of War. Its use is now purely recreational. A good range of water birds including several small grebes/dabchicks.
