In November?

Like a good part of the County and in Cornwall, I found a light dusting of snow early this morning. Higher and more exposed places had much more; some schools were closed. Then thermometer hovered around 1C but there was a mighty wind chill to make matters worse. Tonight widespread ice is forecast.In living in Devon 40 odd years I can only remember one previous occasion when it snowed in November. At this time of year the sea temperature just a few miles away is about 13C.
