Sockets

The kitchen is in and finished, except the silicone sealant which is drying. We are not watching it. I thought that the sockets would get wired in but no, we need a sparkie to come and do them and check the dodgy socket. Our flat is old and not perfect, it won't be to everyone's taste but we love it and it is our home. 

In the midst of kitchen and illness I had a visit from a friend's daughter. All okish but there was a very difficult and dangerous situation that she has been indirectly caught up in. I didn't feel that I could offer much beyond tea, lunch and to listen. I hope the other officials involved will do their jobs properly. I am appalled at how women are treated in our society. 

It's been an exhausting day.
