Flying Fish.

Another sunny day in Ballater, although very cold. 0C and below.

Today’s Blipfoto shows part of a shoal of willow fish suspended from the ceiling of the Fish Shop restaurant.

Pat had been looking forward to eating in this particular restaurant. She had read a favourable review and had been impressed with the telephone discussion about allergies.

On arrival, It would seem that the restaurant did not cater for coeliac people. They did not have a separate fryer! In view of the kitchen size this could easily have been incorporated in what is a new restaurant.

The choices of courses was quite restricted and the portion size was very small, unlike the bill.

This is a great shame. There is potential here but unrealised.

We have designed several restaurants over the years in several different countries. This restaurant could have been much better.

Pat is a fabulous cook/chef and routinely turns out culinary masterpieces.

Hopefully, The Fish Shop will get its act together.
