Poor Robin

It has been an icy cold day today with thick fog up until early afternoon giving us a short glimpse of daylight before getting dark. The birds have been flitting about keeping warm and filling up with sunflower hearts. I had noticed yesterday that the two bird baths in the garden were frozen and went out this morning to defrost them, that didn’t work so I filled a seed tray with some water to allow them to have a drink but that soon iced over too, they have a hard time in winter, poor things.
