Beech Sapling
in The Outwoods. We went to the market to buy some fish, Zander again. It was too cold to linger so instead of going to Finkins as is our wont, we drove to the Outwoods where the colour had looked magnificent last week. Not so this week. Other than the oaks, most of the leaves had fallen. Even the oaks are looking sorry for themselves. The leaves are brown and dry and crinkled. I expect them to fall very soon and winter to be upon us.
One or two beech saplings around, as shown.
We warmed up at Olivia's. Basil shared my scrambled egg with smoked salmon. Len had a dry looking pain au chocolate. The café was full.
Back home, I continued working on my book for the bookmaking course but I'm really frustrated by Affinity Publisher. It's impossible to find the answers to your questions in the Help section or online, possibly because it's upgraded to Version 2.2 and they haven't written the Help notes yet.
