December Day
December has arrived and the weather felt fitting, with frost, a cold northerly wind and sunshine.
Our morning walk took a little longer than anticipated as Merlin found a squeaky ball and decided he’d rather run around the field with it than come back to us. Eventually he returned to our calls and the ball is now his favourite thing. It sits here with him this evening as he sleeps.
Today we also opened the first door on our Palais des Thés advent calendar. The tea for today was called Le Thé Magnifique. And it was! I’m not a fan of green tea but this one infused with vanilla, pear, apple and peach was really very tasty.
Gratefuls:
- An hour at the allotment continuing to dig out the old compost beds on my newest plot. It was warm work despite the cold wind.
- Fresh bread from the bakery this morning. It made for a satisfying lunch.
- Gentle light in the sky at sunset - one of the joys of sunny winter days.
