Thank You For the Days ..

So We'll Walk Down the Avenue

The freeze stays with us ... But the road has been gritted so we ventured down to Harestanes for a stroll/slither. My walking pole turned up under the table in Wally, so I now feel a bit more secure on the snow.

At Harestanes they are busy installing a light show of the sort that we've seen in Pitlochry. We may go, it's only on for a few days. No loch here for the water effects, unless they take you down by the river ... if it warms up we may go, although it would be easier going if the mud were still frozen.

Another day mainly indoors, a bit of progress with the Christmas wrapping. Caroline, bless her, has bought things she thinks Matty and Emily will like, I will only have to wrap them. I'm so out of touch with the tastes of teenagers I find it very hard to shop for them. Mag and Karen have been off to see a litter of puppies, and one will be picked up on their way home from here after Christmas. Caitie is so excited, it will help her get over the loss of Raf. No news from Al, she's doing her Christmas shopping this weekend, off to Bristol for it this year (she and a friend go to a different city each year and do the whole thing in one day. Anyone who hasn't told her what they want will get a 'surprise'. That's all the good news.

The bad is that one of my cousins has had grave news on the health front. I must get in touch with him, I think a letter will be best. We're not in touch, other than Christmas cards.
