Legendary!

Pension day rolls around. Hurrah! I can afford a couple of wreaths for the old folks’ resting places, and while I’m out and about I pick up some treats.
I also call in at the pontoon to hang a little picture in the cabin. One by a local artist (extra).
I hoped to see one of the members but he wasn’t there. A loose canon sort of guy. A good or bad disruptor is the question - PT says he’s of value and so we should keep him in the tent. I fear however that he finds the tent too small for his ego. He’s been passing himself off to outside bodies as if he speaks for the club which is noisome and dangerous. I caught sight of one of his missives -
I hold no specific role in the organisation. I am not a council member or flag officer. Indeed, I have little patience for the navy-inspired hierarchy that yacht clubs unthinkingly copy and sometimes take far too seriously. I am just a mathematician with a boat.

Indeed. So modest. I am just a mathematician with a boat has already found its way into my vocabulary.
Later, out for my long awaited birthday treat - David Bowie at the Liquid Room! It was storming. What a terrific gig - a great slab of Ziggy Stardust, and some realcrackers in the second half. If you say run, I'll run with you.
And if you say hide, we'll hide.
Because my love for you would break my heart in two
If you should fall, into my arms and tremble like a flower!
Gawd, who knew I was such a great singer?
