A RAY OF LIGHT

We went to Mum's today in Morecambe as my sister and her partner had to go to Skipton to see our niece.

As we left Grange it was snowing quite thickly, a little worrying but the forecast wasn't too bad for this area, just very cold.  Sure enough as we joined the A590 there was no sign of snow anywhere.

We got to Grange OK and Mum is doing pretty well but still sleeping in the chair at nights.  A lot better than she was though, so it's just taking it's time in going - possibly because, funnily enough, she's a bit more than 21 years old now!!!

My brother and his partner called in, so it was nice to see them too and we had a nice chat.

We wanted to leave before it got too dark, especially as the weather app said it was snowing in  Grange.  We stopped off on the Prom so that I could get a blip, then came up the A6.

No problems but we started seeing signs of snow from Beetham onwards.  The radio kept saying about snow causing problems from beyond Kendal onwards so I was a bit worried.  However nothing to worry about.  It was thick-ish in places but the roads were fine.

As we got to Kents Bank it was a bit thicker, well we are a little high up.  Our road was a bit snowy and icy but we don't have to go down it far.  We are  home safe and sound.  My sister and her partner got back from Skipton OK too, just a bit icy and frosty.  A bit of a dusting in Skipton but that was all.  Phew!!

Do stay safe out there everyone and stay safe whatever the conditions are like where you are.
