Christmas Lights On

This evening we had the switching on of the lights of the estate Christmas tree. This event is always well attended with drinks & mince pies in plentiful supply. We had a brass band & the vicar & his wife led us in the singing of carols & Christmas songs whilst running through the Christmas story in a way that appealed to the children in attendance.

The finale was the actual switching on of the lights after a countdown from ten by none other than Mariah Carey. That was nice of her.
