rain stops play

It was a beautiful day, worthy of a trip to a nearby stretch of sand for Em and I to make sand creations and cool our sticky toes in the sea. Then the towering black clouds came rolling in off the ocean. Not liking the look of them we retreated home only to be bathed in sunshine again 10 minutes from our door. That's just the way things have been today. Rain finally came this evening, but the sun persevered until sunset making some atmospheric shadows.
