The Salusbury Arms
SATURDAY
Firstly, thank you for all the lovely comments, hearts and stars on my 4,000 Blip birthday yesterday.
Today was a good day. It started well with a £300 win on my Premium Bonds. Mid-morning, we walked up to the Corpus Christi Church where the monthly produce market was being held. We bought some cakes, pickles and chutney and a couple of strips of raffle tickets. Then on to the neighbouring Salusbury Arms (pictured) for morning coffee. The pub has recently been bought by the village community and is being run as a community asset.
A trip then to The Tweed Mill shopping outlet at St Asaph where I had my second Christmas dinner in two days. Then over to Denbigh to buy a couple of ottoman storage units and some last-minute ingredients for the Christmas cake.
This evening we received a phone call to say we had won two prizes in the morning's raffle.
