Breaking the rules

We have some firm rules around Christmas: of course, you can start your present buying before the first of December, but everything else - mince pies, the playing of festive music, decorations - should wait until then. 

But Abi is off to South Africa next week, to join her mum, who is out there visiting family. 

Thus, today we went along to Crabtree Farm to buy a Christmas Tree, which we enjoyed decorating, this evening, whilst sipping some mulled wine, which was indeed a further breach of the regs, but in for a penny, in for a pound!
