To the beach

We arrived in Norfolk feeling very festive in freezing frost with a dusting of snow (extra)
Amelia (and Paddy) had invited us to stay for the weekend in her family cottage in Salt House.
Christmas card cosy with the fire going and a chocolate Labrador to entertain the kids. We went to collect a Christmas tree for the cottage before marching to the beach through atmospheric freezing fog! Pleased to be greeted by a grey seal, Anya and Max enjoyed throwing sticks for Nutmeg whilst Andrew, Paddy and Amelia were ready to get back and dry their feet after having squelched through the marshes in ridiculously inappropriate shoes!
After warming up with hot chocolate, we played retro snakes & ladders and mouse trap before Amelia cooked us a wonderful coq au vin when the children were in bed, perfect!
