Munich day 3

Early swim again.  Then brunch in a local cafe which was a stack of pancakes with apple and maple syrup - delicious,  good job as that was all we got till 9.30pm! 

We headed to the Residenz Palace  alot of which had been rebuilt after the war. Stunning Rocco work, but the Japanese China, foo dogs and silk Wall covering did it for me.

Then on to a light show (against my better judgement). It took ages to get to as the transport was all cancelled because of the weather. Lots of standing around in -7. The light show was just giant structures lit up and then a 15 min horse show.  Fortunately we managed to get a train back. I hope this will not be my lasting memory of the trip! 

Back to the hotel and I was the last that could order. So a supper of pomme frite and beer!
