First Sunday in Advent…

…. and we took ourselves ( back) up to London this evening to St Mary Abbots church in Kensington for the Advent Service. We got there early while the choir were still practicing. Beautiful music, and service later. A different tradition to our church but the same Advent message and we were glad we went. Our service this morning was the Advent Toy Service in support of families in our local Foodbank distribution. Lots of toys and gifts under the tree.

Valerie had her cataract operation yesterday. Very early days yet of course but we hope and pray her vision improves and she can enjoy seeing things more clearly. Using her phone has been difficult and we’ve been phoning rather than messaging.
