MonoMonday - Layers - MM515
I was wrapped up warm but no matter how many layers today it was chilly & the pouring rain added misery. It was sleeting by the time I went home & the winds had picked up.
The runners & cyclists must have been soaked thru their layers to the bone by the time they got past us & quite a way yet to go.
Waiting & saw Kevin Sinfield - Rugby League player running his fourth marathon - 7 in 7 days in 7 cities - raising money for MND research, those with MND, for support of carers & families.
A few folk delayed taking their dog out for a walk to just at the time of the run passing and chatted with a few folk whilst waiting.
It was interesting to watch the live GPS as running the route towards where we were standing.
Extras just a diary for today's event in colour.
Folk will be running an extra mile at Meadowbank with Kevin, then the finish is at Murrayfield Stadium.
Many years ago I used to work at Murrayfield Stadium with the rugby, I felt I wanted to go out & support even in this tradional Murrayfield rugby weather today!

Afterwards I went to Cloudberry's Café had hot lentil soup, bread, cheese scone, wee flat white & millionaire's shortbread all to warm me up! Then headed home.
