Politeness

Regular readers maybe a little tired of my rubbish blips - but this one is priceless, honest! As you know we have different days for the different types of rubbish here and woe betide anyone if they put stuff out on the wrong day or at the wrong time.

My neighbour informs me that not only has this person put their PET bottles, cans and tins out three days early they have attached a polite note of apology with an explanation. I do love this country!

It may be years before anyone knows if what you are doing is right. But if what you are doing is nice, it will be immediately evident.
