Pied Butcher
When I walked home from the village this morning a Pied Butcherbird was perched in a Swamp Banksia, trying to satisfy the demands of its latest chick for more food. It seemed to me that the chick was almost as big as the parent, and should have been able to find its own food. I suspect the parent thought much the same thing. I tried to photograph them both together but they were too nervous, or I was too impatient.
