December birthday

I’ve had another day when I didn’t go out at all. I’ve written (and posted) more Christmas cards, and also continued the moth-proofing of The Traveller’s room in his absence. It’s always easier to give the room a deep clean when he’s away; I drag lots of furniture out of the room so I can vacuum, spray and polish to my heart’s content. By the time he gets back on Friday the room will be immaculate, sweet-smelling and moth free.

I’ve also made this birthday card for a friend of mine who will remain anonymous (unless you’re sharp-eyed, that is).

Smithers, meanwhile, has been a hero and has made a batch of granola and also our supper – leek and potato gratin. I’ll definitely keep him on.
