Old Harry Rocks
This morning we caught a bus to Studland( unusual in that the bus actually goes on the chain car ferry from Sandbanks to Shell Bay), from where we walked the cliff path out to Old Harry Rocks, a group of chalk stacks and stumps, a bit similar to Durdle Door further along the coast. More of the stacks in the extra.
We called in at the Bankes Arms afterwards for a fine pint and a ploughman’s lunch of Gala pie, ham pate, pickles and salads in front of a roaring log fire.
From there we walked along Studland beach and did some C……… shopping in the National Trust shop before catching the late afternoon bus home. A perfect winter’s day.
