A Good Day

Just when we thought such events were over for us, Julia received her PhD today at a ceremony at Sydney University. She is a cardiologist and her thesis was “Understanding Clinical and Genetic Complexities in Patients and Families with Inherited Heart Disease”.
It was interesting to note that only 15 of the 57 PhD recipients were male.

After that we celebrated with a nice lunch at Bathers Pavilion at Balmoral which Julia and I later walked off on the Cremorne Point harbour walk.

Finally she whipped up a quick pasta dinner for us all, including Helen, Omar and the twins.

I almost forgot to mention the icing on the cake was she also received news this afternoon that she has passed the French language exam needed to gain her visa to work in Montreal next year.
All in all, a good day.
