Decorating the tree

This afternoon we picked up Violet from school for her usual sleepover with us, on a very cold damp and dreary day.  Once at our house V had a hot chocolate then helped to add some more decorations to our nature themed tree.  Later her mummy called by staying  for dinner and until V's bedtime as she now has a new job much nearer to where we live.

Mr MC went out this evening for his usual game of backgammon with a friend at a nearby pub restaurant.  He returned very early as the pub had very few staff and very few customers: so very sad as last year we found it so different when we took friends there for lunch with good food, excellent staff and a great ambience.  We do hope that something can be done to pull it out of the doldrums.
