Couples Statue

The weather was awful on Mr YB's birthday and apart from going to M&S to buy some nice food for his special day, we never went out.  As the weather forecast was better for today we decided to have a walk and lunch out to celebrate.  We went to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea and had a walk along the promenade.  It was very cold but very bright.

Looking out to sea is the Couples Statue.  I have attached a photo showing it in the distance but it looks absolutely tiny (it's huge) on my phone.  As the couple are looking out to sea their faces are never visible from the shore. However, on the promenade there is a small statue of the couple showing what they look like which is my Blip today.

We found a lovely little cafe for lunch.  I had a brie and cranberry sandwich and Mr YB had Welsh Rarebit.  A super day out.
