My brother-in-law was here today to investigate my heating problem.  He took 3 radiators off and flushed them out but there was no sludge.  So he put them back on and filled the system again.  He thinks the problem is with the boiler and there may something wrong with the thermostat within the boiler...  I phoned Scottish Power as I have my insurance with them and they are coming out tomorrow.

However, it's a bit milder this evening and I had the oven on in the Kitchen so the thermostat did reach 20 degrees at one point.  But doesn't that tell you something that having the oven on heats the Kitchen more than the central heating??????
