Shall I take a dip or not?

I've been really busy this year & haven't managed to get round to uploading many blips, but have taken photos. Also 3 weeks ago had an op that I have put off for over a year & have done virtually nothing since, but today sat by the pool whilst husband swam and & this strange looking chap or "chapess"(!) Came & stood beside me. A sort of dove/pigeon but with strange feathered legs? A bit scruffy looking. Not sure if he wanted a drink or swim? Although don't think it would have been good for him to swim as he didn't look like a waterbird. We tried offering him a drink but he didn't seem interested. He remained wandering around the edge of the pool for sometime and then eventually flew off.
