“Hey mister, you’ve left your jaikit.”
Three of them arrived at about 10am, all wearing orange garb and using their noisy machines to cut back the bushes on the steep bank behind our pink palace. Then they turned the wood into wood chips and fired it back from whence it came, thus encouraging a kind of cannibalism. Don’t get me wrong, I can see the need to keep unruly nature in check, and I know that the trees will regenerate next spring. What annoys me is that these guys arrive without warning to dessicate part of my landscape (See extra photo.) We were not and are never consulted in any way about such things. The orange brigade buggered off at 12:45, but I’m sure they will be back.
13:57 they're back.
