Alba Venturer

In Oban we met Alba Venturer, Ocean Youth Trust Scotland's 72 foot Oyster ketch. She had a crew of Scouts from Deeside in Aberdeenshire on board. 
In the past I spent many happy hours on board her, sailing as a voluntary watch leader, I was pleased to find crew members I knew well from those days on board.

I was pleased to be able to take a lot of photos of her leaving the pontoon to send to the Scout Leader. They were setting off round the Mull of Kintyre back to the Clyde and I heard they had an excellent voyage.
