Town Church
At 6pm this evening St Helier's very old Town Church was filled with people for a special service. I attended with friend H as it was to commemorate the 10 lives lost in the explosion last December, and also 3 fishermen who were lost at sea two days before that happened.
The words of the service were well chosen and comforting for those bereaved, and those who lost their homes (like H) in such traumatic circumstances. It was also important to thank all those who have provided support in the year since.
There was the most beautiful song, sung by a choir of young women. The song is called 'Even When He Is Silent'.
Afterwards we were invited to the Bailiff's Chambers for a cup of tea!
