The First Day of Christmas

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

As you may have noticed, I had a very full-on couple of days there. Deployments are always stressful. 

The good news is that it was pretty much over this morning. I did some last minute checks. It all looked good. A few very minor issues, but everyone seemed happy.

I had a post-spreadsheet hangover for most of the day, but paracetamol helped. I took it easy for the rest of the day, and Caro took me out for a nice drive. Today's weather has been spectacular and sunny. We got coffees and treats. I was happy. 

Life is good. And even though there will be more Deployment Days in my future, it's worth it for days like these. 

Xmas starts here*. I shall rest on my laurels** for the rest of the year.
