Return To The Botanics.
In contrast to yesterday, today has been very busy.
I delivered Pat to the Scottish Art Club to participate in Life Drawing. I then drove to the Royal Botanics for coffee and cake before walking around the gardens and taking some 60 photographs.
The Christmas Lights are spread all around the gardens and are different from last year.
I have featured one 2 metre high ‘neon’ sculpture. Of course, it is not powered on during the day. Interesting sculptures throughout the gardens during the day.
I then returned to Rutland Square to drive Pat back to the gardens for lunch with our friend Jane Milroy.
After lunch we then drove out to Alan Herriot’s house and studio to deliver the print he had ordered from The MacEwan gallery.
Kate Herriot served coffee and cake with some entertaining conversation.
Too soon, we were back in the car heading for Markinch. I had agreed to give a talk called ‘Architecture On The Carpet’ to Markinch Heritage Group. I was encouraged by the amount of conversation and nostalgia that was generated.
Afterwards we drove back home through fairly heavy rain and flooding, but arriving home safely after a very busy and long day.
The weather is becoming warmer, relatively speaking,
