No fun at all…

We took Mum for lunch at The Stretton Fox today. We’ve been trying different restaurants within a 30 minute drive to see how they compare. The 20 minute journey(according to google) took nearly 35 minutes which wasn’t a great start. Then the waitress took nearly 20 minutes to take our drinks order (we ordered our food as well at the same time). All three of us had to change our choices due to the non-availability of dishes which had not been explained when we were seated.
Then it took another 15 minutes for them to decide that they didn’t have any of our second choices so we all ended up with fish and chips. Overall it took 70 minutes to be served with our meal which is not acceptable in my book. The food was actually quite nice when it did arrive, but we won’t be going there again for a long time.
On the way home we encountered traffic wherever we turned and it was nearly 4pm by the time we dropped Mum off and therefore no time for a blip.

In other news - the bin strike in Warrington is over and Mum’s blue bin was emptied whilst we were out :))
