Bedtime at Hill House

Saw this wee moose getting ready for the night in amongst some of Walter Scott’s Waverley novels and wondered what the quote was above the bed. Discovered it was from Dickens’s, when Scrooge was challenging the existence of the ghost by saying ‘ there’s more of gravy than of grave about you ‘.
Very seasonal methinks !
