One Half

This is one half of the display on this double fronted house round the corner from us.

Callum delivered a Christmas card to an old friend a few streets away and as he walked up to post it through the letter box Maddy was outside putting up some Christmas lights.
So of course he stopped to chat, and quite some considerable time later was to carry on with his walk with Honey. I was about to send out a search party!
She told him her husband Doug passed away in September from a heart attack whilst they were on holiday in Greece.
So she had all the formalities to deal with out there and I expect that was quite traumatic in itself.
The only good thing was it was an island they had been visiting for years, even going out for the wedding of the daughter from whom they rented the same flat every time.
So at least he was in a location he loved. He was 83.

By the time Callum got home, everything for the rest of the day was delayed, and consequently I only made a token start on packing up the ‘stuff’ from my office, so more will be done tomorrow.
