Yo Ho Hoing!

What a lovely, busy day we have had.  We passed a quiet morning after dropping Euan at Nursery and when we picked him up, it was a quick lunch and off to his swimming lesson.  He has come on a great deal since we last saw him swim and was working really hard and having fun.  There was time for a quick snack in the cafe before we turned for home and another fast turnaround before we were out again to meet Mum at the Nursery Winter Lights trail and Fayre.  What a lovely evening that has been.  An ex parent builds the winter trail and it was quite magical.  The Nursery has a large outdoor space with lots of play equipment and the light trail was built around it, with a whole village and a castle on a hill twinkling with tiny lights.  There was also a ship floating in the waterplay bath with assorted sharks and dolphins.  Euan spent most of his time on the marble run, again made by parents out of tubes and pipes, painted with fluorescent paint and carefully lit, with glowing balls for the children to place at the top and watch them run down.  It was by far the most popular game and a good job we didn't have to pay for it!  There were stalls selling Christmas foods and crafts, toasted marshmallows and of course Father Christmas.  Euan wanted to ask him if he could Yo Ho Ho but Father Christmas had a sore throat so he asked Euan if he could do it for him and then made him his special Yo Ho Ho Helper.  Lots of adults from the Nursery were there and all of them said hello to Euan, it really is a lovely, caring place.
