An unusual visitor

I know I am posting this a day late but I've been sick this week and coughing constantly does not make for good editing. I could not pass slipping out on the porch to try to catch a photo of this guy  before he took off though . I should say she because it was a good size for a sharp shin hawk and they are dimorphic so female is more likely. She stopped by the apple tree where all my feeders are first but missed this time. Two days before that a dove became lunch and my 11 doves dropped to 10. I wish I could have moved to get a better shot that didn't look like she has a post coming out of her head but she didn't stick around long enough.
