Madrid cathedral

Had a walk around the old town part of Madrid today.  We went up the cathedral dome which gives some great views of the city then for a look inside the cathedral. I loved the modern glass and beautiful unusual patterns of the cathedral ceiling shown here. It was a national holiday in Spain today and although the cathedral area was fairly quiet when we headed into town for lunch it was absolutely packed and we only just managed to find somewhere for a rather late lunch. 'Chocolate con churros' was also on our wish list but we failed to find anywhere that had any left.
