The warm ball of fur again...

It's been a very good day mostly... Although the pay sucked, I was able to take a local load to get off early. That allowed me to do a few things I have needed to do for awhile including getting a few hairs cut, chopping down a bush that was putting pressure on the eves of the house (never enough chainsaw time)  ;-)   cleaned the three main rooms - including mopping the kitchen floor, replaced the built in hand soap pump and....
Two emotional moments though - the first is turning off my parents landline phone they have had for decades. Family and friends know my and my sisters cell phone and in the last two months I have only had one call on the landline. The other is a text from my sister saying my mom's best friend - the one who my sister and I played with her kids growing up - my mom couldn't remember that she spent time with her today.. 
Tomorrow after sleeping in I will spend lots of time with my mom including going to get lunch, playing games and.. On Sunday my sister and her son will be making the traditional spritz Christmas cookies with our mom.
