Villers-Bretonneux
We visited a lovely old Notre Dame in Amiens with absoluetely huge ceilings which I really like. We walked through some parts of town with moats everywhere which was also beautiful, and we stopped for a delicious lunch. From the legitimate fancy meals I've had here so far I've always liked the entrees possibly the best because the cheese is just always so well done. We had some kind of cheese pastry which was absolutely delectable.
From there we went to a couple of museums but the John Monash was easily the most moving. The sun was starting to get low when we got there and we walked through the graves for ages. It was truly beautiful though, just expanses of land for so far around us. And the light was stunning.
The museum itself was also cracking, I really wish we couldve stayed for longer. Nearly everyone was crying in there, especially after the immersive war experience room.
Really thought provoking and beautiful place though.
