The Pond……..

……. Down at the Taylor River. This is what is left of the “ponded area” which, earlier in the season, had fresh water running in upstream and running out again at the downstream end. Thus the water was virtually fresh at all times. We could do with some decent rain to flush the pond and get the surface water running again.
I spent most of the day gardening. The first task was tidying up the narrow strip of garden abutting the driveway. I’ve more work to do there. Then later this evening I mowed the lawns, did some weeding. The vegetable gardens are coming along nicely. I am already giving away some produce as there is more than enough for just me. A good feeling.
