Shipbuilding..
I'll apologise for the quality now, I've had to crop heavily to get this much detail. This is the tug-boat Keverne, towing a barge loaded with a large section of, the currently being built aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth. It has taken all afternoon to get from Gairloch to Handa Island, at around 6 knots. The tug is just above the peak of the left headland of Handa, the barge (with big lump) a few hundred yards to the left. You can track it here..
Funny day, dark, and windy, with periods of rain in the afternoon. Bright sunshine now, and this was shot almost directly into the sun, stopped the camera down 2 stops to try and get some detail, and I've only got an 18-55 mm zoom at the moment (hint, hint!!)..
Only one choice of song suited this pic, the wonderful Robert Wyatt from Soft machine..
