A bit damp
I’m quite relieved that the last led walk of the year is over. We left the Water of Leith Visitor Centre in pouring rain and it got steadily worse throughout the day. I don’t think I’ve seen the weir at Dean Village quite so forceful.
The offer of an early exit at Stockbridge was unanimously rejected and so we continued with sopping wet feet to the Victoria Swing Bridge in Leith. Most opted for the pub, V and I were more motivated by a decent coffee and a chocolate brownie.
A lively journey home on a packed train with some cheery lads who sang jingle bells, tunefully, all the way to Falkirk.
