Busy morning...

...at the village hall. Despite not officially opening until 10am we had a steady stream of people from 9.45. Lots of bacon butties partaken and many many cups of tea and coffee. Unusually it went quiet at 11.30 which meant we were able to get cleared and cleaned and gone by 12.10. There was lots of happy chatter and laughter as usual. There was also a group in doing Christmas crafts with children. They also ran a raffle and I won a bottle of Chardonnay. I was surprised there were quite so many people as the weather was dire, and often this week and next are less busy as people are off shopping and preparing for Christmas. 
This afternoon I spent sewing gift bags ready to send off the presents to my family. They should be all ready to be collected and sent on their merry way by Monday. That's the aim anyway so will be another day at the sewing machine tomorrow followed by some nifty packing and printing off postage!
