I got this nativity from Avon 30+ years ago. There is a button on the bottom to push and the star flashes and it plays music. It stop working a long time ago.

The unit on the bottom is sealed and this year I thought “what the heck, nothing to lose” and I opened it up and found the little batteries.

As they’re not meant to be changed, it was a challenge getting them out and putting new ones in, but I managed. It now works once more. Yay.

It’s off to church this morning and then we’re going to go visit Burt & Jolanda this afternoon.

Jolanda had two surgeries to help with severe back and leg pain and while recovering went to the Netherlands for 6 weeks as her sister passed away. While there, she broke her hip! She’s got a tough recovery ahead. But she is so glad to be home and starting PT
