It's the time of year...
...to go to the woods for the Christmas tree! We followed our family tradition this morning, of going to Chopwell Woods to buy our Christmas tree. And as Son#3 wanted one too, he came along as well. Here he is with the one which he chose - and ours was very similar.
Although it was raining we still decided to have a walk after securing the trees to the roof bars on the car- it's a lovely place for a stroll. On the way we were disappointed to see that some of the large wooden sculptures which we've seen over the years have been removed - but we did note on our last visit that some were rotting rather badly. There used to be two large hands but now there's only one - still in quite good nick (1st extra).
We popped in at Son#3's house on the way back to drop him off with his tree - which gave me the opportunity to photograph one of their cats - this is our Grandcat Sansa relaxing in the window. She gave me rather a stern look as you can see!
Oh and here's some news: Son#3 & his fiancee are expecting a baby in May - so we'll have a local grandchild before too long as well as one in Toronto! Needless to say we're thrilled - as are they!
