She’s cooled a bit on smiling for Grandpa’s pictures, so this was quite a joy to capture. I’d been whistled up to look after her for a few hours before I dropped her off at nursery. Where I took this.
Later we watched Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke in Leave the World Behind. It’s a decent enough thriller if you can overlook all the implausible plot holes and absurdities. An amusing portrayal of commonplace everyday racism though. But like a lot of these dystopian things they set the scene really well: plenty ominous mood music; you know something's coming down the line. But then we need a few silly little side stories to pad it out a bit, and then there’s the ending… meh. I trust that’s the correct usage. Can any young people out there confirm that? Young people?
