Nutcracker One
Rebecca and Kitty drove over from Skipton and picked me up on our way to Leeds.
Parked in John Lewis and did some Christmas shopping there.
Straight to the recently opened Flat Iron restaurant for steak and chips x 3 , delicious and you get complimentary brown butter ice cream as you pay your bill.
Then up to the Grand Theatre to see The Nutcracker by Northern Ballet, wonderful as ever.
Kitty had friends in the performance..
Both Kitty and Verity missed performing in earlier years due to Covid shutdowns and now Kitty is too tall. We then went to the stage door as she had bought flowers for her
friend.
You may wonder why l have used the title Nutcracker One, suffice to say l will be seeing more of the Nutcracker in the next couple of weeks and it’s not even my favourite ballet!
So we will soon know who will be in the Strictly final next week.
Phew they are all so good!
I expect Elle, Layton and Bobby to go through on ability but Annabelle has certainly got the public’s heart even though she is the weakest dancer.
l think Layton will get to the final , but won’t win because of his previous dance experience, funny nothing is said about Elle doing a BTEC in performing arts, where dance is one third of the syllabus, so she has two years intense dance training to help her. I picked Bobby to win from week one and would still be happy for that to happen.
